Six days, thirty designers, one undeniable message — Bangladeshi fashion has arrived on its own terms.
Fashion Week Dhaka 2026 is over. What it leaves behind is harder to summarise than a list of shows. It leaves behind a different city — one that, for six days, agreed on what it wanted to be.
Day one
The opening night belonged to a single designer: Tahsin Reza, whose debut collection sold out before the lights came up. From there the week unfolded with the steady confidence of a programme that has finally learned to trust itself.
Day six
By the closing night, foreign buyers were openly courting local ateliers. Three designers signed international distribution deals before the after-party ended.
Six days ago we asked if Dhaka was ready. Today we know: Dhaka was always ready.
