Presence, not polish. Reliability, not networking. A test that looks like you, not a test that looks like a model. And — almost universally — the ability to take direction without flinching.
What gets you passed over
Over-edited portfolios. Inflated follower counts. Late arrivals. And, increasingly, an unwillingness to negotiate rates collaboratively.
The model who books the third campaign isn't always the most beautiful. It's the one who made the first two easy.
