A rare, unfiltered look behind the camera on one of Bangladesh's most anticipated fashion campaigns of the year.

It is six in the morning at Dhanmondi Lake. The light is grey, the air is humid, and a team of forty has been on site since four. This is what the cover image of Aarong's Spring/Summer 2026 campaign looks like before it becomes the cover image.

The brief

The brief was simple in the way that the best briefs always are: capture morning. Not "morning vibes" — morning. The hour when Dhaka is still half-asleep, when the lake reflects more sky than water, when the city has not yet decided what it wants to be that day.

What the camera saw

We shot for ninety minutes. Then the sun broke and the light flattened and the day was effectively over for our purposes. The campaign you will see across Dhaka in the coming weeks is the residue of those ninety minutes.
